Data used by the app

Garage works with vehicle details, service records, costs and documents that you add. By default, this data is stored only on your device.

Vehicle and inspection lookup

When you search by VIN, the app sends the VIN to our technical interface, which looks for vehicle details in open data. The request is used only to return details to the app; we do not create a user profile or use the VIN for advertising.

iCloud

Sync is optional. When enabled, the backup is stored in the private database of your iCloud account through Apple CloudKit. The app operator does not normally have access to this private database.

Insurance card and documents

Expiry-date recognition from a photo or PDF takes place in the app. The document remains on your device and, when sync is enabled, may be included in your private iCloud backup.

Purchases

Apple processes the one-time purchase. The app only checks whether the full version entitlement is active; we do not see or store your payment details.

Analytics and advertising

The app does not use advertising identifiers, behavioural advertising or tracking across apps and websites.
